At Jones Executive Coaches we fully understand people’s concerns over Covid 19 and often get asked the question, is it safe to travel by coach?
The answer to that question is a resounding YES, and as the Number 1 coach hire company in Manchester we are ready and waiting to be of service and get you back on your travels.

Easing of travel restrictions.
As from last week, the UK Government announced that easing of restrictions would commence in England. One of those restrictions was on limiting the amount of passengers allowed on a coach. There now is no restriction on numbers allowed to travel on coaches with forward facing seats, and coaches can travel at full capacity.
However, coach operators may still decide to exercise their own precautions, so if travelling with a group then check the operator’s policy first.
At Jones Executive Coaches we have always prioritized the safety of our customers, and in fact coach travel has always been one of the safest forms of travel throughout the pandemic.
This is due to the use of high back forward facing seats which has been recognized as one of the best seating arrangements for prevention of Covid during travel.
With the addition of face masks, limited seating, hand sanitizer, filtered air conditioning, and that people don’t move around on a coach, Jones Executive Coaches have always been at the forefront of safe travel.

Face Coverings.
According to Government advice, COVID-19 spreads through the air by droplets and aerosols that are exhaled from the nose and mouth of an infected person.
Although there is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering, the government suggests that you continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with other people you do not normally meet.
Operators are free to set their own requirements for wearing face coverings and you should check with the operator of the service you are using before travelling.
When you choose to wear a face covering, it should fit tightly around the nose and mouth and contain multiple layers. Wearing the highest quality face covering available to you will provide greater protection.

When wearing a face covering:
It is important to wash or sanitise your hands before and after touching your face covering.
Use a ‘black bag’ waste bin or litter bin to dispose of it – you should not put face coverings in a recycling bin or drop them as litter.
Be mindful that a face covering may inhibit communication with people who rely on lip reading, facial expressions and clear sound.

Travelling from England
The current advice from Gov.uk is that travel is now unrestricted in England and you may leave England to travel to other parts of the UK, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
However, there may be restrictions in place in the areas you intend to travel to which may prevent you from travelling or restrict your movement. You may only be able to travel for certain reasons, such as work. You should check the restrictions in place at your intended destination, such as rules regarding the wearing of face coverings, before making arrangements to travel.
Check the rules on travel from England if you are:
Travelling to Northern Ireland
Travelling to Scotland
Travelling to Wales
Travelling to the Isle of Man
Travelling to Jersey
Travelling to Guernsey
